L'invention d'un trésor - Vaisselles précieuses de le Renaissance
Du 04/04/2012 au 02/07/2012
Musée national de la Renaissance au Château d'Ecouen
At the occasion of the Pouilly-sur-Meuse treasure's presentation, the exhibition is dedicated to the precious tableware during Renaissance. The treasure was discovered by accident in 2006 in this village of Lorraine where it was buried at the end of the 16th century during the Religious wars.
Without comparaison in France where tableware has been mostly destroyed since Renaissance time, this treasure is exhibited with other examples of silver tableware. Their use is explained and pictured thanks to tapestries, paintings, engrawings and miniatures.
EXHIBITION PRESENTED EVERY DAY EXCEPT TUESDAY FROM 9:30 AM STILL 12:45AM AND OF 2H PM TO 5:45 PM
